What Are The Daily Non-Negotiables For YOUR Business? (Here Are My Three)

My husband, Archie, and I started our blog in May.

We were new to the world of blogging and were looking for ways to get started right. We found a course based on recommendations from successful bloggers then started on our blogging journey.

Learning how to use WordPress to submit posts to our blog has been quite a process.

Lots of trial and error, tears, but fun times too! What excitement the day we published our first blog post! Woohoo! We were absolutely thrilled!

Since, we’ve determined that in order to grow our blog, there are just some things we CAN’T not do. We call them our “non negotiables” and today I’m going to share them with you.

One of our non-negotiables from the very first day of publishing was to post a blog post every day. This has to occur. No ifs, ands or buts!

Life has a habit of getting in the way sometimes doesn’t it? But you know what…

…It is all about choices too.

There have been times when we are so tired, or the dog is sick, or we just want to relax, or the kids need us, or the water pipes burst.

But, because publishing a post every day is a non-negotiable, these just become excuses. And excuses don’t count! So a post gets published.

Is it easy? No, sometimes it sure isn’t.

One day the post was published at 11:59 and 30 sec. Now that was cutting it close! But it happened.

We have now published a blog post for 116 days in a row.

Every day we comment and share on five to ten other blogs.

We truly read each post and then share it on Facebook, Twitter or other social media sites. We leave a good, well thought out and interesting comment.

We don’t write “good post” or “nice article.” Leaving a comment like that just shows the blog owner and your fellow readers (yes, they do read those comments) you don’t want to bother spending much time or thought on what you were reading.

We make it count, and making it count means being thoughtful.

QUICK TIP: Make sure you have a gravatar. You can get one at http://gravatar.com. This is important so that people can get to know your face, and “see you” commenting. Otherwise they will just know you as a little “box with no face”.

Commenting on other people’s blogs daily is a simple, yet it’s an effective way to build up trickles of traffic to your blog (that really begin to add up).

You will find that if you take the time to do this properly and leave good comments and shares, that people will reciprocate and do that for you on your blog as well.

We also make it a priority to reply to all comments made on our blog.

Following this process, we have seen a steady increase, starting with the number of comments and now we are seeing an increase in the number of shares as well.

Each day we make it a point to “meet” at least one new fellow blogger.

It is a real community and people reach out and help each other. We have made many new friends and more importantly, there is a sense of camaraderie, knowing we are bloggers too.

This is our way of adding in the “human element” for our business.

Our challenge for you today is to look at your non-negotiables, determine their value and take appropriate action.

If you don’t have any yet, this is a good time to establish some. Write them down.

Then, take action and implement your daily non-negotiables for your business.

Sigrid is a top up and coming MLM blogger. She's published a blog post for 116 days in a row. Little by little, she's turned a tiny trickle of traffic into a growing river, and it keeps getting better. Her dedication to the "non negotiables" is a model for even the gurus. Create These Assets, And You Will Reach A New Level Of Business That Is Not Enjoyed By Most Network Marketers

The Renegade Network Marketer

If there is one central theme of The Renegade Network Marketer, it would be this:

Your list is one of the most valuable assets you can develop, but there are also other things like…

Your own traffic. (Ex: Ads you might place, or when other websites link to yours)Your own testimonials that establish credibility.Your own content. (Ex: Articles at your blog, email series, informational videos, etc.)Your MLM organization of course.Your relationship with your customers. (This is determined by how you treat them and the value you bring to their lives. For example, the exact same customer might be worth three times as much in the long run to someone who develops a good relationship with them vs someone who does not have their best interests in mind and just wants to make a quick buck off of them.)Your USP. (What makes you different from everyone else?).Eventually your own product(s).

All of these are assets that have a real, measurable dollar value (some harder to measure than others). They not only protect your business, they also open you up to an endless amount of ways to make money. If you ever chose to sell your business at some point, they would also have a huge impact on how much it would be worth.

Every time you do, the value of your business increases. Every time you add an email to your autoresponder sequence, it increases your remote control selling power. It’s like another 100 sales reps working for you.

Every additional piece of content improves the relationship you have with your prospects…
…it further pre-qualifies them…
…it increases your conversions which means more money and more distributors…
…which means more people in your organization making you money…
…which allows you to buy more advertising…
…which means more prospects…
and the cycle continues.

11 Business Rules You Should Know

A couple of weeks ago I came across an interesting post by my buddy Neil Patel. Neil is one of the most successful online marketers and entrepreneurs I know, so when he talks about business, I listen.

The post is called 11 Rules to Work By, and he basically shares some tips he learned along the way of building his online business. Here’s the first one:

Rule #1: Never fly solo

Google, Apple, Groupon, Zygna, and Microsoft are just a few of the examples of companies that are doing very well. Do you know what they all have in common? They were all founded by multiple co-founders.

If you want to get into the business world, do it with someone. Flying solo may sound great at first, but things can get tough if you don’t have a co-pilot. This way when you are unsure of what to do when things get tough you have someone you can consult.

The most important time to have a co-founder is when you first start your company. This is typically the time where cash is tight and you can’t afford to hire people even though there is a ton of work that needs to be done.

If you are one of those lucky few that already have a co-founder, good for you! If you don’t you should read this article, as it will help you find the perfect business partner.

Make sure to read the whole article, as the other 10 tips are quite valuable as well. If you think there’s a tip missing feel free to share it with a comment below.

Sign-up to the Daily Blog Tips newsletter and you will be able to download the "Make Money Blogging" eBook for free (worth $47).You will also receive tips to improve your blog, strategies to make money and useful resources from around the web.

How to Increase Traffic to Your Site in a Home Based Business

You are here: Home // Home Based Business // How to Increase Traffic to Your Site in a Home Based Business

Online home business

One of the most important parts of a home based business in the Internet age is to have your own website. But once you have your website, you should be trying to increase traffic to it, because ultimately, the more traffic you have, the more people will choose your services and increase your bottom line. But there’s a difference between quality traffic and quantity traffic and the following ideas will help you sort out that difference and help you benefit your home based business the most.

Start a blog

The single most effective strategy you can use to increase traffic to your online business on a daily basis is to start a blog. Ideally, you want to be blogging about something you are an expert and a professional in, so when people read your informative (or sometimes even entertaining) text, they will be convinced that you are qualified to deliver the services you are delivering. Starting a blog in your niche and regularly updating it (at least 2-3 times a week) is one of the best ways to drum up interest in your product.

Marketing your blog

Once you’ve started your blog, the next step is to market it effectively. You can employ a variety of strategies to get the readership you want, but ideally you should do as much of it as you can yourself at the beginning. When you create your blog entries, then make social links on sites such as Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest that you can share extremely easily with others. A lot of people also use some sort of an app that posts to a variety of platforms at the same time. There are apps, for instance, that will post a snipped of your text to a Faceb
ook or a Linkedin comment. You can also upload your blog post not just to your own blog but onto your Facebook notes. Furthermore, you can take the description of the webpage and submit it to Twitter, Reddit or Digg. Automate it as much as possible with an app to save time and people will share your content by themselves.

Creating quality not quantity

Another very important aspect of any blog is to create as high quality products as possible. By starting in your own niche, you will automatically have an advantage. But even if you have no writing skills, then don’t shy away from blogging. You may need to hire a few writers to deliver your content, but this is still a lot better than not having content at all.

A Sad Christmas, A New Marketing Strategy, and a Box Made of Gold (My Business Breakthrough Story)

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I checked my email.  I scanned the boring list  quickly and it just wasn’t there.

My head dropped to my computer desk.

Tears squeezed out of my eyes.

And I thought, “This is very hard. I’m so disappointed. What am I doing wrong?”

I flashed backed to that devastating Christmas morning when I was 9 years old. It seemed to be happening to me again.

The anticipation and excitement is only surpassed by the sudden “best” behavior possible.

We didn’t have much money, but my parents tried to makeviewmaster & reels - Page 001  Christmas  memorable.

There was only one thing I wanted that year and it was a plastic box for my viewmaster and reels – to organize them. (I have a bent for liking to be organized.)

I had seen one at a drug store that was beige with a brown lid. It had 3 separate compartments in it with one just the right size for the viewmaster itself. I think the cost was around $6 or $8 – definitely within reason for my one-allowed request for a Christmas gift.

Christmas morning dawned and all four of us kids lined up at the living room door waiting for permission to enter.

With my bare feet on the floor, I stood on my tippy toes to try to be able to see in once the door opened. It didn’t take long for the magical moment to come.

I ran to my designated chair scanning it quickly for the beloved beige viewmaster box.

I saw a stuffed animal, a bulging stocking, and a strange flat box.

I opened the box and it was a transistor radio which I hadn’t asked for. Not that I wasn’t grateful – don’t get me wrong. But the viewmaster box was nowhere to be found.

Tears welled up in my eyes.

It was all I had asked for.

I felt devastated.

Such a small thing, really, but a huge impact on this little girl with dreams of an organized collection.

I put on a brave face and gave hugs and big thank you to my parents, while struggling to make sense of the disappointment.

Christmas was sad for me that year.

The same disappointment engulfed me.  It overwhelmed me like a huge wave in the ocean – the kind that knocks you down and leaves you struggling to figure out which way is what way.

I need a large breath of air.

Here is what had happened – maybe you can identify.

I had started blogging about two years earlier.

I love writing and was determined to marry my love for writing with Internet skills so I could market my business online. I read countless articles of others who had been successful, and I knew I could be successful too.

I invested in training programs, and attended webinars like there was no tomorrow.

I spent hours on end optimizing my blog and writing interesting posts.

I created my awesome free giveaway, and proceeded to the big launch.

I syndicated my blog like crazy.

I commented on other blogs, joined “tribes” and put my links on Facebook.

Tomorrow would surely be the day. I’ll get some blog comments and maybe even an opt-in to my free offer, is what I told myself day after day.

Yes, I was like that little 9 year old girl on Christmas Eve many years ago. But the dreaded realization came that next morning when I checked my email…it was just like what happened that Christmas…

…What I was expecting wasn’t there.

No opt-in announcement. No blog comment waiting to be approved.

Nothing. Nada. Zilch.

What was I doing wrong?

I needed help, but didn’t know where to turn. The weight of the disappointment crushed me once again.

It was a Facebook Ad.

I was intrigued to discover Ann Sieg’s secret for generating leads online.

But admittedly, I was skeptical, and thought,  “Here we go again. Another secret that doesn’t work.”

Yet Ann’s video spoke to my pain.

Free is a good price so her Attraction Marketers Manifesto download was a no brainer. I was so impressed I even went ahead to invest in the Renegade Network Marketer too.

Ann had felt my pain and I wanted her guidance.

I feared another disappointment, but not so much so that it held me back from at least giving it a try.

This time it WAS different.

I studied those two ebooks and could identify with all that Ann wrote.

I joined her Daily Marketing Coach Plus program and was pleasantly surprised, and impressed to experience an “orientation” session with live trainers (not a recording like so many others do).

This was followed by sequential steps being laid out for me in my back office for me to accomplish on my blog as the whole 80/20 team (Certified Renegade Trainers as they’re called) helped to coach me.

I was making progress and had some incredible “aha” moments from the individualized attention and training I was given.

Later, the opportunity to sign up for a weekend workshop presented itself.

I was like the thirsty cocker spaniel chasing after a cute poodle in the park.  I lapped up all the wisdom the trainers dished out.

Would I really get opt-ins, comments, and leads who called me?

And would any of it translate into earned income for my business?

One of the Renegade team trainers, Eric Walker, challenged us at the workshop to implement a simple strategy known as the “3 X 3 X 1 Facebook Video For Lead Generation.”

I listened intently as he explained it to us. Eric is a great teacher.

It actually sounded a little bit strange – kind of radical – and almost ridiculously simple.

But hey, I’m willing to try anything that my expert trainers tell me to do – so I threw my hat into the ring.

I won’t go into all of the details about this strategy here and now. This post is long enough.

But if you want to know how this works, then I recommend that you join Ann’s Daily Marketing Coach program. It’s easy to join and at least 10 times worth the cost you actually have to pay.

After implementing this simple, yet proven marketing strategy, I began receiving comments, and even had people inquiring “Where is the next video?”

Pretty fun interactions. Those are the kinds we all like having.

I implemented everything I was instructed to do.

Morning dawned and I opened my email as I always do before breakfast and exercising.

Well, what do you know!

I had 3 opt-in notifications.

Now that was fun!

Over the next few hours … 3 more opt-ins.

And the gift keeps on giving. I receive opt-ins to at least one of my offers at my blog almost every day.

I have comments on my posts daily.

I’ve even had leads call me. . . just like Ann said would happen!

I have sold 3 Renegade ebooks already through my follow up emails and have had one person interested in joining me in business.

Guess what that means?

M.O.N.E.Y.

Yep – So far I have earned $454 through the affiliate book sale (since I joined the Renegade system) in addition to sales of the product I sell for my primary network marketing business.

This reminds me of . . .  well, it’s kind of like . . . a viewmaster organizing box made of pure gold!

I plan to use this golden marketing strategy over and over again.

Just watch me.

And try it for yourself.

After the Christmas hub-bub died down that devastating year, my mom sensed my disappointment.

(Moms are good like that).

She allowed me to take the money I had saved up to that drug store and buy that viewmaster organizing box myself. The dollars were crumpled up in my little purse and the coins rattled together as we walked into that store.

I marched right over to the shelf I had seen it and sure enough, it was still there.

I gingerly took it off the shelf -excited to realize my dream of having my viewmaster and little library of reels all organized.

I took action to get it.

And isn’t that just like our online businesses?

If we want something badly enough, we have to take action to get it for ourselves. Over and over and over again.

If you are wanting to get results from your online marketing efforts, then do what I did…  Join Ann’s Daily Marketing Coach program (EDITOR’S NOTE: More details about the Daily Marketing Coach will be coming soon).

We can no longer wait for a gift to be handed to us on Christmas morning. Sometimes (most of the time) we just have to get that box of gold ourselves.

Gain Real Control Of Your Online Business

It’s time to GAIN CONTROL, differentiate and establish yourself and play the role of an expert to begin earning an income with your home business. The couple components I discuss in this blog post are what will allow you to truly begin earning an income with your home business.

Take a moment and think about who you most respect in our space.

What are they doing that is different?

Here it is…

They lead with THEMSELVES and play the part of an expert. They indeed, might be an expert, or maybe they’re somewhat knowledgeable, or maybe they’re not any more knowledgeable than you. It doesn’t matter. What matters is that they brand THEMSELVES as being a leader because they do what leaders are doing, and they do it with their own unique spin.

Then they make recommendations of products and/or opportunities where they can earn commissions.

Even if you are just starting out, you don’t need a product to successfully follow this methodology.

You simply play the role of a leader, brand yourself as such by taking the actions that leaders take, and make good recommendations and provide valuable content to your optin  subscribers.

The Internet will never be too crowded to follow this formula.

When you do this CORRECTLY…

You will be able to grow and nurture an ever expanding network who know and trust you and will be willing to buy what you recommend.

The very first step is to Take Control of your business. This is critical and simple to do.

This is probably the number one thing people are doing wrong when marketing their primary opportunity. Just look around on Facebook.

Something To NOT Do. Consider It A Rule:

Don’t market your replicated website or direct company link given to you by the company as what you lead with. There is a place for it in your marketing funnel, and I assure it’s not what comes first.

Why would anyone buy from you if all they see is that you have a website just like everyone else? Besides, most people aren’t looking for another opportunity. They already have one. They want help building it.

…If you don’t, you are limiting your income (and your skill set) to the amount of sales you can close in a single push. Start capturing your own leads and you can push offers and valuable content FOREVER.

Now imagine if you had a system in place that allowed you to generate hundreds of leads a day, you’d make money automatically and people would be chasing YOU down.

That’s what Ann describes how to do inside of The Renegade Network Marketer.

Sound like a fairy tale?

It is, yet it’s not once you learn how.

Just a few small tweaks to what you are prob’ly already doing and your income will soar.

It’s likely that you have already begun your journey towards setting this process up for yourself by getting educated with the RIGHT information. Congrats! That’s a powerful decision to make.

Let’s Review The Main Points Of This Post:

GAIN FULL CONTROL of your marketing process.Capture your own leads into your own leads list so you can contact these prospects any time you wish with any offer or information you desire!

We’ll be talking more about this in the next few blog posts here at The Renegade Blog so if you like this information, you can have it delivered directly to your inbox via RSS. Do that here.
