To say "thank you" enough?

Before you ask, no, this is not a post about me is polite or (although it does not hurt ...). I would like to make is that saying "thank you" can also take you farther with business relations.

A couple of months ago a Reader blog emailed me saying he had problems to get to the top of her online store. He does not know what kind of software to use, if you invest your money, how to promote the store and so on.

I had some time, so I decided to help. I wrote a relatively long email (300 words or so, which is pretty long for my standards), best software and tools recommendations, explaining the best way to setup the website strategies to promote and so on and so forth.

I wasn't expecting anything in exchange for the other person, but for a week or so he had not lived up to even say "thank you" and that pisses me off me a little bit.

Apparently, still wanted to succeed in his online store guy, but if in a few months down the road, he emailed me again to ask for something else to help I would probably just leave him.

In other words, one of the "thank you", either in person or via email, can go a long way to establish relationships and to make people who are ready to help you when you need it.

The Bottom line: If someone helped you to be of great help, or a little, to make sure that I would like to thank the person explicitly.
